Overview of what they do
Ever wonder how sounds are recorded and represented in digital form? How data is being transmitted across countries? How data is stored in your hard disk? Computer science is about learning the theories of computation. Before we build a technological hardware, say a sound recorder, we need someone to figure out the theories and the processes that would make this possible. This someone is the computer scientist. They would discover new theories and processes so that new technologies can be emerged from their discoveries.
