OVERVIEW OF WHAT THEY DO

A Law major educates you about legal principles, systems, and procedures. You learn how laws are created, interpreted, and applied in society. Through case studies, moot court exercises, and internships, you develop critical thinking, analytical reasoning, and advocacy skills. Ultimately, you gain the knowledge and expertise to navigate legal complexities, uphold justice, and advocate for individuals' rights within the legal framework.

Difficulties and concerns in studying Law:

Legal Terminology: Understanding complex legal terminology and jargon can be challenging for students, especially those unfamiliar with legal concepts and principles.

Research Skills: Conducting legal research and finding relevant statutes, regulations, and case law can be daunting for students who are not accustomed to legal research methods and databases.

Writing Skills: Writing legal documents, such as case briefs, memoranda, and legal arguments, demands precision, clarity, and adherence to legal conventions, which some students may struggle with.

Analytical Reasoning: Applying legal principles to hypothetical scenarios and solving legal problems through logical reasoning and analysis may be challenging for students who struggle with analytical thinking.

Legal System Complexity: Malaysia has a complex legal system influenced by common law, Islamic law, and customary law, making legal studies and practice challenging due to the need to understand multiple legal frameworks.
